Dedicated DSL vs. Line-share?

Line-share or "traditional" DSL installs over your existing local phone service. Dedicated or "stand-alone" DSL does not require traditional phone service and uses a dedicated line. This is a great choice if you have VoIP phone service or use a cell phone as your primary phone.

ADSL vs. SDSL?

Asymmetric DSL, also known as "ADSL" or simply "DSL" is a service where download/upload speeds are different. SDSL is a symmetric DSL service, which means your download/upload speeds are the same. Symmetric DSL tends to be a better fit for business applications.

VoiceFirst™ DSL requires a minimum upload speed which depends on the number simultaneous calls you require. For example, if you need to support 3 VoIP phone lines, you would need DSL service with an upload speed of at least 384 Kbps. Upload speeds are listed on the right side of the speed column for all DSL products above. Calculations based on use of G.711 audio codec.
