Note: Static IPs are assigned in "blocks" and are governed by standard IP subnetting rules. Normal configuration requires that (3) addresses from an assigned block be used to define your network. Your "network address" and "broadcast address" make up two of these addresses. The third address is assigned to your router. Remaining addresses may be assigned to devices on your network.
Example: A block of 8 IPs will provide 5 usable addresses for hosts on your network. A block of 256 IPs will provide 253 usable addresses.
